I think it is safe to say the MOST cat families have more than one cat. In my family, we’ve just expanded ours by adding three kittens.

I love that this tree has multiple condos, ramps and scratching surfaces. The design is very unique and modern.
This tree is also nice because it has the addition of the curved scratching post which will help keep your cat engaged with this tree even more. That means they are less likely to become bored with it and they will also have plenty of scratching angles and surfaces to keep them happy!

If you’ve been following my other ‘Best cat trees for’ type posts, you will know that I’m now a fan of the tower styled cat trees because they don’t provide your cat with much vertical moving space or territory for that matter.

Armarkat is one of my favorite brands when it comes to getting a good value for a good price. Their trees are super sturdy and you can tell that much effort is put into the construction of each tree.

Even though this cat tree only has one condo it is still a good option for multiple cats because it includes a hammock which is just as comfortable for a cat to lounge in. This tree is also a good choice because it has the two tower beds at the top.
When it comes to cats, you never really know what they like until you start testing things out. With this tree, it gives your cats plenty of options to choose from.
And even if, say two cats like the hammock, you can easily buy or make another one to install on additional posts because it has plenty of room to do so.

Go Pet Club is an oldie but not necessarily a goodie. More like an ok-ie, lol.
They are cheaply made and as such, aren’t the best quality cat trees. But if you’re in a pinch or trying to get something in your home quickly then this tree is a good one to go with.
It has pretty much the same design as the Armarkat I shared with your earlier but the two are not to be mistaken for each other. They’re completely different, like night and day. The Go Pet Club is not as plush as the image makes it out to be.

This tree is a monster of a tree but I like it for one type of cat in particular. You may have noticed that in some of the descriptions I noted they were not good for ‘cave dwelling cats’.
These type of cats want to be completely secluded. This behavior is not to be confused with unnatural circumstances like avoiding threats, etc.
I like this tree for cave-dwelling cats because the condos are completely closed and dark. They are great if you also have multiple cave dwellers in your home but any cat will enjoy them just the same!

Why Do Your Cats Need Special Cat Trees?
Can you imagine having to share a bed with someone else? You probably can right?
Even just sharing it with a spouse or significant other can get ball-kneeing crammed. Then pile on Fido(s) and the kids and things get too tight too quickly!
Its the same principle with your cats. They want their own space to layoff and call their own. For this reason, when you have multiple cats, you need a bigger, more equipped tree for them to share.
Depending on how many you cats you have, it may even be a good idea to get more than one.
What Will Happen If You Don’t Get Best Cat Trees Multiple Cats?
By not getting your cats the best cat trees for multiple cats, you’re pretty much asking for household war. Cats like to cuddle when they are ready BUT they are more possessive about their resting areas.
This means that they WILL fight over their spot. It can be as simple as a couple boxes to full-on brawls and even though cats are smaller than dogs when they fight they do much more damage.
Personally, I’d rather not break up any animals fighting which is why I ALWAYS go that extra mile to keep them happy and you should too. Its dangerous for you and everyone in your household to have fighting cats around but they’re pretty easy to please when you give them what they want.
Some cats will prefer beds to condos and some just want to be in the sun. You have to know what your cat likes and give it to him/her.
What to Look For In Best Cat Trees Multiple Cats
Since these cat trees are for multiple cats, you should look for ones that are:
- very sturdy
- have multiple structures like beds, condos, scratching posts, etc.
- taller rather than shorter
- ramps to make chasing more streamline
How Much Cat Trees For Multiple Cats Do You Need
If you have less than three you may be able to get away with one large tree. This wouldn’t work of course if you have large cats like Maine Coons.
If you have more than three cats, you will definitely need two or more trees. The good thing right now is that you can get a really good tree for pretty decent prices if that’s an issue to you.

This is a very stable piece of “cat” furniture. It was easily assembled,and attractive in our front room. Kitty loves the little hidie hole on the pole.
