Go Pet Club Cat Tree Review

Go Pet Club Cat Tree Review

Most cats love to climb by nature. When we bring them into our homes without the proper structures, it can get quite overwhelming as they climb all over everything that they shouldn’t like the stove hood or fridge.

It is also frustrating because they knock things down which can cause even more damage and money. This is why its so important to have the best cat climbing structures for them so that everyone in your home stays safe, including your cat.

I have had a lot of success with cat trees and recommend them to anyone with a cat, regardless of their behavioral patterns though most will jump, climb and scratch all over your home. They give your cat a good workout by enabling them to satisfy their natural desires in a safe, destruction-free way.

This Go Pet Club Cat Tree is near and dear to my heart because it was one of the first cat trees that I ever purchased (Hint: buy online, they’re cheaper than pet stores even on sale) and my cats actually used it.

While there are better options available, I highly recommend this one if you are looking for something inexpensive or just starting to create your indoor cat climbing environment. I ended up giving mine away to a relative in need when I upgraded but understand that you’ve got to start somewhere 🙂

This is a good choice because:

  • it has a lot of pillars/towers
  • lots of scratching surfaces
  • lots of lounging areas
  • multiple cubbies which is great especially if you have multiple cats!
  • it is one of the less expensive cat trees that are pretty decent quality
  • comes in multiple colors

Introduction

The Go Pet Club is perfect for cats who like to climb. It is a bit taller than most which will give your cat that altitude it desires and needs in order to survey his surroundings effectively.

This tree is great for cats that exhibit tree-dwelling, bush dwelling or a combination of both behavior patterns. The only reason I will not recommend this one for cave dwellers is because the nook areas or cubbies if you want to call them that are not fully enclosed.

I would not recommend this tree for large or extra large cats. For example, a Savannah or an obese cat. Most cats are small to medium-sized though so this stand would be fine for most cats otherwise.

Pros

  • Affordable Cat Tree
  • Sturdy & Durable
  • Very Tall (72 inches)
  • Multiple Towers (3 tall), Condos (2) & Scratching Posts (10)
  • Easy assembly
  • Two color choices

At $86, this tree is excellently priced. The first tree I ever bought came from Petco and cost $150 + tax. That was on sale too btw. Its regular price was close to $200!

And with this one, you don’t lose quality in the price either. The quality is great and can withstand normal playing, jumping, scratching, etc of your average sized cat.

As a tall girl, I like tall things so I can relate to cats on that level also. They like to have a bird’s eye view of everything. At 72 inches, your cat will get that bird’s eye view she craves.

As far as dimensions go, this one’s dimensions are reported with a 50-inch base but that just includes the ladder. The cats don’t really use the ladder so, without it, the base is 28 inches.

The Go Pet Club Cat Tree is square so it has for corners. Each corner has a pillar but only three go all the way up to tall towers that have beds on the top.

There are two cubbies with entering and exit holes on either side and 10 scratching posts. This cat climbing tree was designed for multiple cats.

It is super easy to put together too. There are plastic screws that hold everything together. You just need to make sure that you lock them in place properly.

Something I find really cool is that you can get this tree in blue as well as the neutral, beige color. This is really nice because it makes it blend in more with the room. Like if it’s in your living room area, it blends in with the furniture instead of standing out screaming ‘I’m a cat tree’ lol!

Cons

Now don’t get me wrong here, the tree is sturdy and durable. But like I said, that the use of this term is relative to the average sized, domestic cats which are usually under 15 lbs.

If your cat is over 15 lbs, this tree will not work because of the plastic screws. They are not designed to take the force that is created due to the heavier weight.

For example, have you ever played with a small dog compared to a large one? Yeah, there is a big difference right? lol!

Your body is aching after playing with a large dog but not so much after playing with a small one. It’s the same thing here 🙂

If you don’t know, cave-dwelling cats are the ones who like to be totally hidden. You have to literally hunt them down and turn over the bed to find them.

The cubbies in this cat climbing structure are too open for a cat of this nature so he will probably not enjoy it at least for relaxing. Which is a big deal because cats play hard but they also sleep hard too so you want something that will suit this sort of cat better.

Which Cat Type Is The Go Pet Club Cat Tree For?

This cat tree is for:

  • small or medium cats
  • tree dwellers
  • bush dwellers
  • kittens

Price

Just to recap, this is an Amazon cat tree. It is also eligible for Amazon Prime which basically means that there is no additional shipping charge since it meets the minimum threshold.

It costs $86.99 + tax.

Final Opinion & Verdict of the Go Pet Club Cat Tree

If you are looking for a cat tree, they don’t come much better than this one. It will give your cat her own space in your house that she can relax, play, investigate and scratch up, lol. Even if you have multiple cats, they will each have their own slice of heaven too.

The ramps are really nice for kittens too. They will be able to climb up on it and play since they can’t jump that high yet.

There aren’t many downsides to this unless you have a large cat or one that prefers to be hidden away. If you really wanted to though, for cave-dwelling cats, you could just close up one hole and see if that works. I haven’t tried it so don’t quote me but it seems like a good idea! lol.

My final verdict is 4.5 out of 5!

But don’t take my word for it. There are over 4 thousand reviews on Amazon that you can read about it!
